Turkish Legal Translation · Turkish ↔ English

Turkish legal translation
that holds up in every jurisdiction.

Turkish legal language is precise in ways that catch most translators off-guard. Suffix-driven obligation structures, jurisdiction-specific terminology, and formal register requirements mean a single mistranslation changes the meaning of a clause. We get it right first time.

Sworn translators only
Every legal translation is handled by a sworn (yeminli) translator — a legal requirement for documents submitted to Turkish courts, notaries, and government bodies. We don't use general-purpose translators for legal work.
Jurisdiction-aware terminology
Turkish contract law differs from common law in fundamental ways. Terms like "force majeure", "liquidated damages", and "indemnity" have specific Turkish equivalents that carry different legal weight. We translate meaning, not just words.
Full certification chain
We handle translation, sworn certification, and notarization coordination under one roof — so you receive a document ready for immediate submission to courts, embassies, land registries, or government offices.

Frequently asked questions

Does my translation need to be notarized or just certified?

It depends on the intended use. Documents for Turkish courts and official government bodies typically require a sworn translator certification (yeminli mütercim). Documents for embassies or foreign institutions may also require notarization. We advise on exactly what's needed before we start.

How long does a certified legal translation take?

Standard turnaround is 2–3 business days for documents up to 10 pages. Urgent turnaround (24–48 hours) is available for most document types. Complex multi-party contracts or large-volume filings are quoted individually.

Will Turkish courts accept your translations?

Yes. All our legal translations are produced by sworn translators recognized by Turkish courts. We include the official certification seal and sworn translator registration number on every document.

Can you handle confidential M&A or litigation documents?

Yes. We operate under strict confidentiality protocols. NDAs are available on request, and documents are handled by the minimum number of people necessary. We do not use cloud-based CAT tools for sensitive legal content unless specifically approved.

Do you translate from Turkish to English as well?

Yes — we translate in both directions. English to Turkish and Turkish to English, across all legal document types. Turkish-origin documents for use in international arbitration or foreign courts are a particular area of expertise.

What if the contract uses English law but needs to be filed in Turkey?

Common situation. We translate the document accurately while flagging any terms that may require a Turkish law equivalent or explanatory note — and advise accordingly. We work alongside your legal counsel, not instead of them.
